You ensure machines run smoothly, systems are controlled and energy keeps flowing. Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems are all part of your responsibilities.

Duration of the apprenticeship:

3.5 years (shorter duration possible)

1st year (Foundations)

You get to know the basics.

2nd year (Advanced training)

Tasks become more complex and you begin to specialize in your area of interest.

  • Part 1 final exam: Usually towards the end of the second year. It assesses your current level of knowledge.

3rd/4th year (Specialization and completion)

You become a professional.

  • Part 2 final exam: The final exam takes place at the end of the program. This is where you qualify as a fully trained Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering.

Apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d)

You ensure that mechanical, electronic and digital systems work together seamlessly. Whether it’s machines, production systems or complex mechatronic setups – you are responsible for their assembly, commissioning, maintenance and repair.

Apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d)

You ensure that machines and production systems function reliably. You manufacture components, assemble complex systems and take care of maintenance, servicing and repairs - making sure everything operates smoothly in production.

During the business simulation week, our trainees can take on responsibility right from the start, contribute their own ideas and experience management decisions in a practical setting. Presentation training, teamwork and sporting activities strengthen team spirit and provide a welcome break.

2nd year (Advanced training)

Tasks become more complex and you deepen your knowledge in manufacturing and assembly.

  • Part 1 final exam: Usually towards the end of the second year. It assesses your current level of knowledge.

3rd/4th year (Specialization and completion)

You work independently on projects and become a professional.

  • Part 2 final exam: The final exam takes place at the end of the program. After that, you are a fully qualified Industrial Mechanic.

Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d) with a study programme alongside your apprenticeship

During your apprenticeship, you will ensure that machines and production facilities operate reliably. You will manufacture components, assemble complex systems and carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs. In this way, you will ensure that everything runs smoothly in production. During your degree programme, you will support our various specialist departments as a working student and gain additional practical experience.

We support our apprentices not only professionally but also personally, in an environment where they can take on responsibility and continue to develop.

Duration of the apprenticeship: 2 years

Duration of study: 9 semesters

1st year (Foundations)

You will learn the basics of metal­working and how to use tools and machinery. You will also study control technology. At the end of the first year of your apprenticeship, you will sit Part 1 of the final examination (AP1).

2nd year (Advanced training)

The tasks become more complex and you will deepen your knowledge, particularly in the areas of maintenance and assembly. At the end of the second year of training, you will sit the final examination, Part 2 (AP2). Once you have passed this, you will be a qualified industrial mechanic. You will then move on to full-time study.
